Slinky

Sunday, 2 September 2012 2:50:09 PM Australia/Sydney

In 1943, Richard James, a naval engineer, was in a bit of a pickle. He was trying design a metre specifically for monitoring horsepower on naval battleships. One day, whilst experimenting with tension springs, he accidentally dropped on the ground only to discover that the spring kept moving. And the Slinky was born.

The Slinky has long been a favourite with kids and adults alike. Whether it’s slinking down the stairs, stretching it out or balancing it in your hands, the slinky is an all-time classic toy. However, those days are over! Because the gigantic slinky is here. Once you go for a gigantic slinky there is no going back. Now you can slink your gigantic down a whole staircase, stretch it out to at least 5 metres and balance it between two people. Grab a gigantic slinky for hours of fun!
